Geography Bee


Sts. Peter and Paul School held their annual Geography Bee on December 11.  For the 27th year, the National Geographic Society is holding the National Geographic Bee for students in the fourth through eighth grades in thousands of school across the United States and in the five territories, as well as in Department of Defense Dependents School around the world.
 Ty Noble, 8th grader at Saints Peter and Paul School won the SPPS Geo Bee and will advance to the next level of the competition, a written test to determine the state competitors.  All school champions are eligible to win the national championship and its first prize, a $50,000 college scholarship, at the national competition.   Hannah Scott placed second and Kristen Hammes placed third. Students participating in the geo bee this year were: Ty Noble, Kristen Hammes, Hunter Steinlage, Andrew Leonard, Hannah Scott, Damon Koch, Garrett Schmelzle, Karly Tangeman, Julie Rottinghaus, and Connor Deters.
